Whether it’s for fashion, sport or commercial purposes, modeling will always be a lifestyle I gratefully cherish.
When you think of modeling, you probably think of America’s Next Top Model as an ideal concept of what it truly takes to be a model Yeah, I thought so, too. I dreamed of being AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL! But sadly, it was only a TV show, and it never could’ve prepared me for my journey of modeling as I thought it would….
So let me tell you…. Modeling is what you make it! Whether it is fashion, runway, print or commercial, modeling is a powerful renaissance for individuals to display their best qualities, usually, but not limited to, their beauty, physiques, and stature abilities. How and what you model is a personal choice, your NICHE. The glitz and the glamor surely outweigh the modeling career path, but it’s definitely not the only route that makes headway in the game. I mean, look at how easy it was for Instagram models to gain recognition. All in all, it’s all about choosing your lane and doing what works for you.
Being a model started as a term of endearment for me. My beauty has always been recognized from the time I was a little g. I always had more legs than a lil bit, so I knew I stood out. I mean, I have the sass a doll wish she could have!!! I just knew I was meant for a runway; it’s my destiny to be on that stage, any stage, walking my walk, backing up my talk, proudly strutting the baddest stilettos I can find! Let’s just say, being a natural born model allows me the freedom to love myself unapologetically.
I’ve been modeling for nearly 10 years now, and throughout the struggles along my journey as an adult is what really taught me just how significant the role of a model is. I studied marketing in college, and I realized exactly how everything revolves around a model, literally EVERYTHING! (But that’s a story for another day.) Now, my mission is to divulge what the next model will need to get her career on and poppin’. Although I have not reached the avenue of being a full-time model, my determination hasn’t settled, not even a little bit, and the mistakes I’ve made so far has shown a different path to breakthrough this oversaturated industry.
Stick around to see what’s next up for me.
